Your GP may ask you to book an appointment if it’s been over 3-6 months since your last check-up. We’ll let you know, and we’ll make sure you don’t run out of medication in the meantime.
Te Tumu Waiora
We are thrilled to be part of this new nationwide initiative.
Te Tumu Waiora is a model of care that provides free and immediate support for anyone with stress, social issues, or long term physical health struggles. With the exciting introduction of two new roles into the traditional general practice team; a Health Improvement Practitioner (HIP), and a Health Coach.
Visit our Meet the Team page and click the photos to learn more about them.
HIPs are qualified and experienced mental health professionals who have completed specialist training in the Te Tumu Waiora primary mental health model. They see people of all ages and at all stages of their lives and with any type of issue related to behaviour change or mental health and wellbeing.
The Health Coach works in partnership with people who need support for behavioural or lifestyle changes, promoting self-management and achievement of health goals.
They are based in the GP clinic, and will also help people navigate and connect with other local community services and NGOs.

Home Visits
We understand that some of our patients may have difficulty leaving their homes due to frailty or limited mobility. We are proud to offer Home Visits to our local community, but please discuss it with your doctor first. This will ensure that it is the most appropriate option for your situation. Please keep in mind that scheduling a Home Visit requires sufficient prior notice to accommodate it in the doctor’s schedule.
